Cold and ice, no hot water and few comforts? Not for those who stop in winter at the Ansitz Camping Gamp at Chiusa in South Tyrol. Even in the cold season we spoil our active holiday-makers with refined pleasures.
Relax with a trip in a horse-drawn sleigh or a snowshoe trek, go ice-skating on the rink just 100 m from the camping site, or cross-country skiing on Alpe di Villandro. Every day a free ski-bus will take you to a different ski area or for winter excursions, such as Plose, the Gitschberg-Jochtal area, Obereggen and Val Gardena. Those who go winter camping must not miss the opportunity to visit the Christmas markets at Chiusa and in the neighbourhood (link to Klausen).
