The Isarco Valley is well-known and much loved by hikers of all ages, but it is not the only varied walking and hiking trails that attract visitors to the wide open spaces of this holiday area in South Tyrol.
At Chiusa and in the surrounding area there is no lack of opportunities for enjoying your free time in the midst of nature, such as the “Woody Walk” for families on the Plose or the Mountain Adventure World at Racines: these two walks are suitable even for families with pushchairs and promise hours of fun for explorers of all ages. The visits to farms organised by the Tourist Board are designed to be instructive as well as entertaining; here you can feed the cows, mow the grass or bake bread. To complete this active leisure programme there are bicycle rides, rafting adventures and spectacular moments to be enjoyed at the Adventure Park in Funes, in German Villnöss.
At Chiusa and in the surrounding area the winter offer is just as varied and entertaining as in summer, thanks to the five ski areas that make the Isarco Valley a winter sports paradise in the heart of South Tyrol. Far from the prepared routes you can glide across snow-covered landscapes on cross-country skis, climb on snowshoes up to snowy pastures and white peaks, or try ski touring. To finish, enjoy sledging on the natural toboggan run at Langwiesen, on the Jochtal or along the Kaseregg run.
