Discovering new landscapes on two wheels is always fascinating. You decide how fast you want to go and you feel the wind in your face during an adventure in close contact with nature. So it is not surprising that more and more people are taking their bicycle on holiday.
South Tyrol offers you more than 500 km of cycle tracks. Whether for ambitious cyclists who want to climb the passes or enjoy themselves with their mountain bike or for those who prefer a more comfortable and pleasant ride, South Tyrol always has the right trails. The Isarco Valley offers you an extremely varied network of cycle tracks covering every level of difficulty. You can pedal either at the bottom of the valley or halfway up a mountain, for a couple of hours or all day long.
The Isarco Valley Cycle Track offers you many kilometres where you can pedal along and have fun, no particular physical fitness is required and so it is also suitable for families. The whole track is well marked and has a good asphalt surface.
The new track for cycle excursions starts from Bressanone and takes you all the way to Bolzano along the main rivers of South Tyrol. The marked cycle track will take you through picturesque towns and little villages to the Habsburg fortress of Fortezza, then along the shores of Lake Varna and the Chestnut Trail, to the Abbey of Novacella and finally Bressanone. Bressanone and the beautiful old town of Chiusa invite you to pause and take a stroll.
The lower part of the Isarco Valley Cycle Track is particularly attractive.
